Look
Good…Feel
Better® (LGFB) is a free, non-medical, brand-neutral, national
public service program founded in 1989 and supported by the cosmetic
and personal care industry. Look Good…Feel Better was created
from the concept that if someone with cancer can be helped to
look good, their improved self-esteem will help them to approach
their disease and treatment with greater confidence. There are
now four options for different audiences:
Look Good…Feel
Better
LGFB group programs are offered nationwide in hospitals and
other community settings. In these sessions, LGFB trained volunteer
cosmetologists teach women how to cope with skin changes and
hair loss using cosmetics and skin care products donated by
the cosmetic industry. Group programs and other services for
women are offered in all 50 states and the District of Columbia.
(International LGFB programs are also offered by our sister
organizations.)
